This is ridiculous. First and foremost, I shouldn’t even have to write this. I want to go through this step by step. The following is a step by step account of happened at Dabbers Cards and Games a mere 5 hours ago. The Italicized texts on the right hand side is the quotes taken directly from the post about us on Facebook. The normal text on the left side is our rebuttal about the account presented. The conversations are real. The comments come straight from Facebook. We have redacted names not belonging to the subject of this rebuttal.
No one cares. Who are you again?
The customer is always right....Right?
We have a similar experience about you. You came in very aggressively trying to buy product around the time we were firing up our local tournaments. We prioritize smoothly running our tournaments and taking care of customer who follow proper protocol when ordering their products. You even said so yourself in the following comment.
We’re sorry you didn’t understand this as it was your first time in the store, but speaking about some basic human decency, it's actually quite rude to insert yourself in front of other customers and demand service when there was clearly a WHOLE TWO EVENTS happening.
You said, and I qoute, “Estas Maricas no saben a vender!” To which Andre agreed. Here’s a translation of the word in question.
It doesn’t help that you had a negative and aggressive attitude from the jump. Unfortunatley for you, I did understand what you were saying to your friends. It was offensive to not only me, but the rest of my staff. There is a long history of hate in this world and frankly we find it ridiculous and offensive that you believe we would tolerate any of that hate from a “customer” such as yourself. Language like that is not and will never be tolerated in our store.
I’m going to assume you meant to say “He was racist and treated us terribly.”
I have yet to read anything about what exactly we said or did that was “racist” You’re claim is ridiculous as we pride ourselves in hiring people regardless of race, gender identity, and sexuality (which it seems you have a problem with…).
I speak Spanish. I understood what you were saying, you were asked to leave because you were calling me and my staff derogatory names and I UNDERSTOOD what your intentions were. Also, yes, the cameras were watching.
Supply and Demand
As for the price increase please refer to this handy graph. Its a simple economic graph that explains why the price of a product may fluctuate based on the supply and demand of that particular product. It’s actually pretty basic stuff.
Not true. We asked you to leave after you complained about the price all while we were trying to run a tournament.
We appreciate this opportunity to explain our side of thing. From our end you, were extremely rude to us and acted very childish about the whole situation.
Finding New Friends
Thank you Andres for paying for your snack and drink. We are sorry you were dragged into this by your “friend”. This is actually pretty embarrassing. I would consider finding new friends if I were you. That is just my personal opinion, however.
Here come the Police
We asked you to leave. You refused to leave. We had to call the police to escort you off our property. We even explained to you that you could write your review off our property. You forced our hand into strong arming you off our property. Please note you are not welcome back.
Unlike you, I have been racially profiled. It does not feel good. It also does not look like what happened to you today. This is coming from a fellow Latino living in a racist world.
We couldn’t believe it either.
Again, it wasn’t the fact that you were speaking spanish. It’s what you said that was the main problem.
Well gang, he finally admits to what has happened. It was a shame too. I was actually about to match the price at $95 a box for the case up until I heard him call both Kai and I "Maricas".
We said omg. We said this is not ok. We're going to share our experience too.
Moral of the story is, please don't call anyone any names or talk shit in front of another person assuming they won't understand you. You'd be surprised how many people are actually listening.
